Kept, Not Denied and Persevered

The Lord will accept any small amount if we offer it to Him with a willing heart. It is not the quantity He is concerned about, but the faith and trust behind it.
I wrote these words down one evening not too long ago after I was reminded of the faithful Church in Philadelphia written about in Revelation 3:7-13. Verses 8 -10 resounded with me:
"I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth."
The words "little strength" caught my attention as sometimes my days start off with me wondering if I will be able to muster up enough energy and fortitude to get through to the end of that day.
And when evening comes, I, from time to time, struggle with even knowing what to pray.
I feel very weak sometimes. Both physically and spiritually.
But what does Jesus ask of me?
To keep His Word, to not deny Him and to persevere.
No matter the season I am in, this is my call.
Now, He knows I am of little strength, but when I am weak, He is strong and the Holy Spirit can do mighty things through me if I have that heart willing to yield.
We have confidence in Jesus' love for us as He demonstrated it on the cross and reveals it to us day by day and moment by moment.
What can I do in return?
Offer my love to Him. A sacrifice no matter how small or weak, in faith knowing that He will accept it and turn it into something beautiful.
