Back At It

It's been awhile.

Some aspects of life seem the same.

Some do not.

I am still the same Meara chasing after Christ; maybe even a little more fervently than before, thanks to His faithfulness and pursuit of me.

I still enjoy reading and writing.

I am still working on my second book, but it is done, soon to be edited and illustrated!

I am still a teacher, but it is my full time job now.

I am the same Meara, but with a different last name. Last year, I married the most supportive, gentle, and loving, man, Seth.

Life became extra busy while teaching full time and beginning life as a married woman.

However, I realized the other day that this blog not only helped me continue in the discipline of writing, but as I researched historical topics and what I was learning about through Scripture for this blog, I was growing closer to God as I marveled at how all aspects of history demonstrated a different facet of Him.

I have learned that creativity guides me to discover more of Him.

I want to learn more of Him. I desire to seek after Him more than I have done in the past because He is worthy of my full attention.

I want to be even more disciplined in this than any other part of my life and writing and sharing my thoughts with you helps me press more into Him, learning what He wants me to say.

So, when I thought the season of blog writing was over, I have circled back again. I hope whatever comes from my head and heart to my finger tips and ending at this form of media, will edify you.
